Behind the Bench and Easel

For the first time in 30 years I am sitting down to really contemplate what an artist’s statement is and why state one. As the years have gone by, from my college days of bending metal to later owning my own jewelry store I have returned now to the original reason of why I took that first art class. Creative dreaming…sounds funny but that’s what being an artist is to me. I creatively express ideas in a medium and feel the chill from inspirations that I allowed to develop in my minds eye and now have made tangible as a gift for others to enjoy. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to many places in the world and have always enjoyed creative envisioning and taking pictures of the beauty that surrounds us and turning those visions into jewlery or artwork.
